Beam, located in Bandar Sri Damansara, is always a hotspot for local coffee lovers. The interior design of the shop is unique and quite out-of-the-world, with urban chic decorations and warehouse themed loft.

The entire building is built by authentic brick walls, equipped with piping on the wall. The wood and metal furniture brings out the industrial urban style that stands out a lot compared to the rest of the mainstream street cafes. Most of the decoration inside Beam Café are created by the staff members of themselves. The indoor decorations, paired with their outdoor wall paintings, along with photogenic lighting all over the place, makes the café an attractive spot for people to take photos.

Beam offers the best hand-crafted coffee, selected tea and mouth-watering desserts and pastries. It also serves various Malaysian-styled meals. Other than the food and beverages that can be ordered on the spot, Beam is well-known for their raw and roasted coffee beans as well.

The roasting and brewing machine in Beam are constantly working to roast fresh coffee beans. Going through years of knowledge and experience towards various types of coffee beans, the barista of Beam is able to aid the customers in choosing the coffee that suits them the most. The choice of the coffee beans varies based on their roasted level, place of origin, processing of the beans and also the final taste of the coffee.

Beam offers ‘coffee classes’ that allows people to gain knowledge on brewing, roasting, creating latte art, hand drip and syphon. Coffee lovers may join these workshops to gain professional knowledge on the coffee, both as a drink and as a bean. It is common for customers who had gone through these classes to get familiar with the art of hand-crafting coffee, and they will start purchasing their own coffee beans to try and make their own coffee at home.

Interested customers may purchase the coffee beans through beam’s official website. Beam’s website is customer friendly in terms of the selection of coffee beans. The coffee beans are being distributed into several categories in order give the customers a clearer picture during their selection of purchase. The coffee beans purchased via Beam’s official website will be sent to the customers after they have gone through the required processing.

For customers that are near to the Beam’s Café, or simply find it convenient to order the beans and take away in person, they can do so by visiting the shop itself.

In order to make things easier, Beam is currently cooperating with àliments, an mobile ordering application that helps customers to have a better and simpler purchase experience.

By downloading àliments app, press on ‘take away’, then select Beam Café and a catalog of coffee beans available for purchase will be shown. The catalog is equipped with proper description of the respective beans and they are helpful for customers to identify their preference through the texts shown.

Customers can further customize their order on coffee beans by selecting their grinding process via the àliments app. Simply go to the ‘add on’ section and leave your remarks.

For those that wants to pick up the ordered coffee beans in person, do remember to write down the date and time of collection so that the shop has sufficient time to prepare the beans. Last of all, proceed to make payment via cards or Vcash.

As part of the function of àliments, customers are able to trace back their previous purchases. This helps the customers to determine their previous preferences of coffee beans, and will make it easier for them to repeat the order with lesser chance of mistakes.

These history of purchases will be accessed by the Beam’s management as well, and it will aid them in giving the customers suitable recommendation when it comes to new purchases.
